Day 12: Materials

Hey! Today I'm gonna make a list of everything I would need as in paint-related props for my intro:

Day 12: Materials.

Canvas: I looked at some options and found Michels' had the cheapest option for the size of the board that I wanted.

-Then I'm gonna use some normal papers like maybe even ruled paper and sketch paper, so I can add some sketches to the setting. -Those I have at home.

-My mom paints so I already have an easel at home.

Paint: To pick the paint I read this article which explained different paint types.

After reading this, I decided I'm going with either acrylic or oil paint.

To decide between the two, I watched this video which convinced me that I will be using acrylic because:

-Oil seems to be for more advanced painters, you need more time, and it is flammable.

-Acrylic dries faster, it is easier to clean. I only need water.

Brushes:
I'll be getting these brushes as they are the most affordable option I could find for acrylic paintbrushes.
-My mom has some brushes already but they are pretty used and old so I'll try to find some that aren't as damaged- if they are all damaged I'll buy some.

Colors: In the video above, a painter suggested to use a small quantity of colors, and to mix them. I like that idea. I'll be using the three primary colors. I'll also be using white and black.

I'm using this chart to understand more about colors, shades, etc.
